There are a lot of different hockey computer games, some are better than others but 7 years ago a hockey computer game called “Backyard Hockey” was published. A lot might remember this game from their younger days since it was a massive hit amongst the younger generation.
The more dominant hockey computer games on the market are of course the official NHL games. These hockey computer games started off in 1991 for the Genesis console and are still ongoing, the NHL 09 which was also available for PC was a massive hit with its tremendous game play and great graphics.

Each year brought some kind of new installment along with the other game features, the “free-4-all” mini game was introduced in NHL 2005, giving the players the opportunity to compete with eachother by scoring goals on one goalkeeper, either in a give time limit, or until one of the players scored a certain number of goals.
The “create a player” feature was available again in a revamped version after being taken out for a period of time. The pre-modeled faces that were available to choose from were removed and instead facial sculpting was introduced, inspired by the Tiger Woods PGA Tour games.
The hockey computer games all had the “create a team” option, and NHL was no exception. But unlike other hockey computer games, the player is here give the ability to recreate defunct or vintage teams, or start new ones with plenty of logos and jersey designs to choose from.
